We just LOVE the way local fashion blogger, Jane Aldridge of SeaOfShoes.com styles her Emy Mack shoes. These delicate, feminine shoes which are made in Italy and designed by SMU graduate Emily Mack Jamison are perfect for flirty skirts and lady like shift dresses but they’re too cool dressed down with Anine Bing or JBrand jeans, sweaters, silk blouses and blazers too.
Shop the entire Emy Mack shoe collection and meet the Emily herself at our trunk show, hosted by D Magazine’s Raya Ramsey and featuring complimentary Blushington makeovers, Friday April 19th. Hope to see you there!!
We are so excited to have our favourite blogger (Jane Aldridge, naturally) here in the store with one of her favourite designers (ANINE BING!) Thursday, December 13th. We hope you can join us for food, drinks, music and of course shopping!!! The jacket and shoes that Jane wears will both be available for sale exclusively at Elements!
Jane & Judy Aldridge will be hosting an Anine Bing trunk show at Elements Thursday, December 13th and you’re invited!
Jane will DJ and we will be serving sips and bites from 5-7. If you’re not familiar with Anine Bing and her collection of effortlessly cool jeans, t-shirts, leather jackets and studded ankle boots, read the bio below:
Bing was born in Denmark on 30 November 1982. At age 7, Bing started to take violin lessons, but eventually turned to singing. She honed her singing skills with the prestigious Royal Danish Academy of Music choir. At age 10, her family emigrated from Copenhagen (they had lived in the suburb Brønshøj) to Sweden because of her father’s career. Despite spending most of her life in Sweden, she declares her nationality as Danish.
Bing has been in the fashion industry since the age of 15. Besides music and modeling, Bing has done several design collaborations with different brands. Eventually Anine began dreaming about making her own clothing line, a dream which finally became true. In the summer of 2012 her self-titled clothing line was launched and it became an instant success.Bing says: “I want to create clothes that are easy to wear. The pieces should work just as good for everyday use as for a night out. To me the quality together with the fit are the two most important factors in a good piece of clothing, so naturally that’s what I focus on in the design”“I am a mom, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to dress well. My aim is that regardless if you are a mom, a model, a lawyer or a teacher you should be able to find cool and suitable pieces from my label”.The clothes are made of the finest materials, all according to Anine’s rock-bohemian style. Anine gets her inspiration from music, L.A. flea markets, bloggers and from life at large.

We are getting so excited about our FNO event that is happening this Thursday, September 6th from 4-7PM. We are working on some fabulous goodie bags that will feature jewelry from Erica Weiner among other treats and we’ll have some divine bites from Parigis and Tart with sips by Urban Taco. The big feature is that Jean Philippe stylists will be available to give makeovers with every purchase, with 10% of all proceeds from the evening going to support the One Heart Project.
However, we are equally excited to announce our unbelievably cool DJ- Photographer/Blogger/Stylist/Designer/Sitar player Fred Holston.
Fred’s Rock’n’Roll inspired photography:
Once declared by the Dallas Observer “The Coolest Kid in Town“, now he’s all grown up and ready to party. You can expect to hear the best of the style icons with an emphasis on French and 1960’s and 70’s sounds, such as Bridgitte Bardot, Serge Gainsbourg, Nico, Stevie Nicks, Patti Smith and Jane Birkin.
